The stay

Serenity Cruises has run boats on this water since 2017, and the Lan Ha itineraries put you on one of them. Cabins are small, well made and face outward — every one has a window onto the bay rather than onto a corridor.
Most of the day happens on deck: kayaks off the back, a swim where the water is deep and green, and dinner as the light goes behind the karst. The boat moves between anchorages while you eat, so the view at breakfast is never the view from the night before.

No. Life jackets are on board for every guest and the crew is in the water with you at the swim stop.
The harbour authority closes the bay in bad weather and the boat does not sail. You are moved to the next departure or refunded in full.
There is a signal at most anchorages, but it drops between them. Treat the day as offline and you will enjoy it more.
