STAYS & MEALS
Good beds and home-cooked dinners
You sleep close to the route every night, in warm, local places we know well and eat well in. Both a private room and a dorm bed are available on every night of the tour.
On Dong Van nights you stay at Serenity Dong Van House, our own place in the heart of the old town. Rooms are private and self-contained, finished in local highland style, with the old quarter's streets and cafes a minute from the door.
On other nights you sleep in a family homestay in villages like Meo Vac or Pa Vi. The rooms are simple and the welcome is warm, and dinner is whatever the family cooked, shared around a low table.
Expect to eat well and local. Mornings start with Ha Giang banh cuon in warm broth, and dinners bring dishes like black chicken hotpot, mountain pork and men men, rounded off with a glass of corn wine.

What to know before your 3D2N tour
Yes. Solo travelers can join a small group and share the journey with other guests. You can choose an Easy Rider and book a dorm bed or private room, depending on availability.
Three days and two nights is enough to experience the main loop at a comfortable pace. You will still spend several hours on the road each day, with regular stops for views, meals and local villages.
No experience is needed when you book an Easy Rider. You will travel as a passenger while a rider born in Ha Giang handles the mountain roads. Self-drivers need confident riding skills and a valid licence.
You will stay for two nights in local homestays or bungalow along the route. Dorm beds and private rooms may be available depending on your booking, with simpler facilities in remote areas.
Bring light layers, a warm jacket, comfortable shoes, sunscreen, personal medication and a small raincoat. Pack lightly, as large luggage can be stored in Ha Giang City during the tour.
Vegetarian meals and some dietary requirements can be arranged. Please tell us about any allergies or restrictions when booking so we can confirm the available options with each homestay.
